Image Licensing

Terms covering every photograph published on kaanyildirim.com — the portrait and the six photographs under /photos/, plus any image embedded in the profile.

01Ownership

All photographs on this site were made by or for Ayem Kaan Yildirim and are protected by copyright and applicable international treaty provisions.

02What you may do without asking

View and link. Share a link to this site, to an individual page, or to a photograph URL.
Quote the text. Short quotations of written material with credit and a link back to the source page.
Use it for recruitment. Employers and recruiters may view, download and internally circulate the images when evaluating a candidacy, without a separate licence.
Cache and index. Search engines and archiving services may index and display thumbnails as permitted by robots.txt and the site's max-image-preview:large directive.

03What requires written permission

Reproducing, redistributing or republishing any image on another website, in print, in advertising or in a product.
Any commercial or revenue-generating use, including sponsored and affiliate content.
Cropping, editing, compositing, retouching or training a model on the images — derivative works of any kind.
Hotlinking an image file directly from /photos/ for display on a third-party page.
Using any image in a way that implies endorsement, affiliation or a commercial relationship.

04Credit format

Where a use is permitted above, the credit must appear adjacent to the image and link back to this site. This is the exact string published as creditText in the site's structured data:

05Requesting a licence

Licences are considered case by case and are usually granted for editorial, educational and press use. Send a message to kaanyildirim6000@gmail.com including:

The full image URL, for example https://kaanyildirim.com/photos/ayem-kaan-yildirim-9.png.
Where it will appear — publication or platform, page, and print run or audience size if known.
Whether it will be cropped or otherwise modified.
The territory, the duration, and whether the use is commercial.
The credit line you intend to publish.

Replies are normally sent within 24–48 hours. Written permission, and any agreed fee, must be settled before the image is used. A licence that is granted is non-exclusive and non-transferable unless stated otherwise in writing.

06Structured data

Each published photograph carries an ImageObject record on the profile page, with the four licensing properties Google Images reads. The values below are the same on every image:

The same image:license value is declared for every image in sitemap.xml, so the terms travel with the file whichever route Google discovers it by.

Enforcement

Unlicensed use is tracked and may result in an invoice at the applicable market rate, a takedown request under the EU Directive 2019/790 and the Dutch Auteurswet, or a DMCA notice to the hosting provider and search engines. If you have used an image in good faith without realising permission was needed, write to kaanyildirim6000@gmail.com — that is almost always resolved by a conversation.
